Making an appropriation to pay the expenses incurred by the special committee, appointed at the session of the Legislature in one thousand eight hundred and ninety-one, to investigate the causes of the recent failures of incorporated and private banks. SECTION 1. Be it enacted, &c., That the sum of six 86.384 90 appropri thousand three hundred and eighty-four dollars and ninety cents, or so much thereof as may be necessary, be and is hereby appropriated out of any money in the treasury not otherwise appropriated for the payment of the expenses of the joint committee of the Senate and House of Representatives appointed to inquire into recent failures of incorporated and private banks, authorized by resolution of January twenty-first, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-one, as follows:

For hotel bills at Philadelphia, Harrisburg and Pittsburg, three thousand six hundred and ten dollars and sixty cents.

For Sergeant-at-Arms serving writs and mileage, one thousand and forty dollars and fifty cents.

For clerk and messenger, three hundred and fortynine dollars and eighty cents.

For stenographer and typewriter, seven hundred and twenty dollars.

Morrison, extra car fare, sleeping berths, telegrams et cetera, one hundred and seventy-five dollars. J. Packer, extra car fare, sleeping berths, telegrams et cetera, one hundred and fifty-six dollars.
