No. 1.
AN ACT

Relating to the execution of trusts by corporations.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted, &c., That in all cases where a corporation is or shall be charged with the execution of any trust, the president, vice president, trust officer, secretary, treasurer or actuary of such corporation, shall make the usual oath or affirmation directed to be taken by private persons in such other like cases.

AN ACT

To authorize the clerks of the various courts of quarter sessions and oyer and terminer to take recognizances and bail, and approve bonds, in certain cases.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted, &c., That the clerks of the several courts of quarter sessions and oyer and terminer of this commonwealth shall hereafter have authority, in all cases, excepting in the case of a defendant charged with treason, felonious homicide or voluntary manslaughter, to take bail and recognizances, and approve such bonds as may be required by law, whenever the law judge or judges, and associate judges, if there be associate judges, shall be absent from the county seat, or shall be unable on account of sickness or other cause to attend to the duties of their office.
