Tis agreed by Proteftants of all Perfuafions, That in three cafes Separation from an Eftablifhed Church is not only no Sin, but even a Chriftians Duty, and that in these cafes the guilt of Schifm is not theirs who are forced to feparate, unless they will make Shipwrack of Faith and a good Confcience; but theirs, who by impofing finful Terms of Communion put a neceffity upon godly Men to feparate: This holds good,

In cafe of an Establishment of Idolatrous Worship, fuch as that of Nebuchadnezzar's commanding all Men to fall down before, and to worship the golden Image which he had fet up: For as it is in Hofea*, Though Ifrael play the Harlot, yet let not Judah tranfgrefs, and come not thon to Gilgal, neither go up to Beth-aven.
