The Second New York State Conference of Charities and Correction was held in New York city, November 19, 20, 21, and 22, 1901, the President being Mr. Robert W. de Forest, President of The Charity Organization Society of the City of New York. There was a large attendance of men and women, representing the public and the private charitable and correctional institutions of the State, over 500 delegates having registered during the session of the Conference. The Third Conference is to be held in the Senate Chamber in the Capitol, at Albany, on November 18, 19, and 20, 1902, under the presidency of Hon. William Rhinelander Stewart, President of the State Board of Charities.
