October 4, Wednesday. A. M. In Trinity, Southwark, presented diplomas to 4 graduates of the Church Training and Deaconess House: Mrs. Henrietta R. Bronson, Miss Annie J. Graham, Miss H. Annie Pew, Miss Ruth M. Prichard; and certificates of partial course to Miss Aurora Mace, Miss Mary Montgomery, and Miss Augusta H. Murphy; and also set apart as Deaconesses, Miss Annie J. Graham and Miss H. Annie Pew, of the Diocese of Pennsylvania, and Mrs. Henrietta R. Bronson, at the request of the Bishop of Pittsburg; and celebrated the Holy Communion. The sermon was preached by the Rev. Horace F. Fuller.

Presided at a meeting of the Board of Control of the Diocesan Library.--In the Home for Consumptives, Chestnut Hill, confirmed 3 persons, and addressed them.-Gave Canonical consent to the Ordination and Consecration of the Rev. William Loyall Gravatt, D. D., Coadjutor Bishop-elect of the Diocese of West Virginia, to the office of a Bishop in the Church of God.

October 5, Thursday. Presided at a Quarterly Meeting of the Board of Council of the Sheltering Arms, 717 Franklin Street.

October 8, Nineteenth Sunday after Trinity. A. M. In the Messiah, Gwynedd, confirmed 1 person, and preached.--In the new Parish Building, visited and addressed the Sunday School.

P. M. Preached in Emmanuel, Quakertown.

Evening. In Holy Trinity, Lansdale, confirmed 12 persons, and preached.

October 9, Monday. A. M. Consecrated the Memorial Church of the Holy Nativity, Rockledge, and celebrated the Holy Communion. The sermon was preached by the Bishop of Central Pennsylvania.

P. M. Attended the Annual Meeting of the Kensington Hospital for Women.

October 10, Tuesday. A. M. At the Missions House, New York, presided at a meeting of the Committee on Africa, Greece, and Haiti.

P. M. Attended a meeting of the Board of Managers.--In St. Mark's Church, Philadelphia, the Bishop of Milwaukee confirmed I person.

October 13, Friday. Received notice from the Bishop of Salt Lake that he had removed the names of Elmer Young, Postulant for Holy Orders; and of Edwin R. Williams, Candidate for Holy Orders, from the list of Postulants and Candidates in the Missionary District of Salt Lake.-Received notice from the Bishop of New York that he had removed the name of Thomas Henry Topping from the list of Candidates for Deacon's Orders (restricted) in the Diocese of New York, at his own request, and for causes not affecting his moral character.

October 14, Saturday. Received notice from the Bishop of New York that on October 8, he had deposed Benjamin F. DeCosta, D. D., Presbyter, from the Ministry of this Church, for causes not affecting his moral character, in accordance with Title II, Canon V, Paragraph I of the Digest; also received notice from the Bishop of New York that on October 8, he deposed Frank Elmer Edwards, Presbyter, from the Ministry of this Church, in accordance with Title II, Canon V, Paragraph 1 of the Digest.

October 15, Twentieth Sunday after Trinity. A. M. In St. James', Lower Providence, confirmed 2 persons, and preached.

October 17, Tuesday. Licensed the Rev. Kemper Bocock, Presbyter of the Diocese of Washington, to officiate for one year in this Diocese.

October 18, Wednesday. P. M. In the Church of the Saviour, addressed a meeting of the Woman's Auxiliary.--Presided at a meeting of the Board of Managers of the Magdalen Home.

October 19, Thursday. Presided at the Annual Meeting of the Evangelical Education Society.--Presided at a meeting of the Trustees of the Divinity School.--Received notice from the Bishop of Central Pennsylvania that he had deposed the Rev. Rawson Warren, Deacon, from the Ministry of the Protestant Episcopal Church, at his own request, and for causes not affecting his moral character, under the provisions of Canon V, Title II of the Digest.

October 22, Twenty-first Sunday after Trinity. A. M. In St. John's, Concord, confirmed 3 persons, and preached.

P. M. In St. Luke's, Chadd's Ford, confirmed 2 persons, and preached.

October 24, Tuesday. A. M. In the Cathedral, St. Louis, took part in the service at the opening of the Missionary Council.

P. M. At the Missionary Council in St. Peter's Church, made an address on Cuba.

October 25, Wednesday. At the Missionary Council. October 26, Thursday. At a meeting of the House of Bishops in St. Louis. The Rev. S. C. Partridge was elected Missionary Bishop of Kyoto.--Upon the nomination of the Medical Board, appointed Dr. Charles F. Judson Visiting Physician at the Sheltering Arms.

October 28, Saturday. Received notice from the Bishop of Western Michigan that he had removed the name of Eben Perry Sturgis Miller from the list of Candidates for Deacon's and Priest's Orders.

October 29, Twenty-second Sunday after Trinity. A. M. Preached in Grace Church, Hulmeville, and celebrated the Holy Communion.

P. M. In St. James', Eden, confirmed 2 persons, and preached.

Evening. In St. Jude's, Philadelphia, made an address at the Fiftieth Anniversary of the opening of the Church.

November 1, Wednesday. All Saints'. In Trinity, Southwark, took part in the service at the funeral of the Rev. Thomas L. Franklin, D. D.

November 2, Thursday. Presided at a meeting of the Trustees of the Evangelical Education Society.

St. David's, Radnor, confirmed 9 persons, and preached, and celebrated the Holy Communion.

November 7, Tuesday. A. M. In the Church of the Holy Trinity, made an address at the opening service of the Twenty-fifth Anniversary of the Woman's Auxiliary of the Diocese of Pennsylvania, and celebrated the Holy Communion.--Presided at a Conference in the Parish House, and at a Missionary Meeting in the afternoon in the Church.

November 11, Saturday. Renewed the appointment of the Rev. Henry McCrea as Assistant Minister of the Episcopal Hospital Mission for one year from December 1, with work assigned at St. Nathanael's Mission.

November 12, Twenty-fourth Sunday after Trinity. A. M. In St. Thomas', Whitemarsh, confirmed 25 persons, and preached.

P. M. In the Church of the Saviour, confirmed 2 persons.

Evening. Preached in St. Stephen's, Bridesburg. November 13, Monday. A. M. In the Church of the Holy Trinity, celebrated the Holy Communion at a meeting of the Clergy, under the auspices of the Clerical Brotherhood, and afterward presided at a Conference of the same. P. M. Presided at a meeting of the Trustees of the Episcopal Academy.
