There being no other nominees for Trustees of the General Theological Seminary, the Secretary was, on motion, instructed to cast the ballot of the Convention for

Mr. Archibald R. Montgomery,

which was done, and they were declared elected.

There being no other nominee for Registrar, the Secretary was, on motion, instructed to cast the ballot of the Convention for

Rev. S. F. Hotchkin,

which was done, and he was declared elected.

There being no other nominees for Trustees of the Protestant Episcopal Church in the Diocese of Pennsylvania, the Secretary was, on motion, instructed to cast the ballot of the Convention for the following:

There being no other nominees for Custodians of the Church House, the Secretary was, on motion, instructed to cast the ballot of the Convention for

The Bishop recommended to the Convention the appropriation of a sum of money to meet the expense of clerical assistance to the Archdeacon.

On motion of Mr. George F. Edmunds, the Rules of Order were suspended.

Mr. George Wharton Pepper offered the following resolution:

Resolved, That the Convention appropriate from the Convention Fund for the purposes of securing clerical assistance for the Archdeacon a sum not to exceed $500, to be expended under the direction of the Bishop.

The Rev. Dr. Upjohn moved to amend by striking out the words, "under direction of the Bishop." A vote being taken, the amendment was lost. On vote, the resolution as offered was adopted.

Consideration was resumed of the Report of the Committee on Recommended Charter.

The Tellers of the vote for Clerical Deputies to the General Convention being ready to report, the Tellers of the Clerical vote reported:

The Rev. John Fulton, D. D., LL. D., having received a majority of the whole number of votes cast by each order, was declared by the President duly elected a Clerical Deputy to the General Convention.

Mr. Rowland Evans offered the following resolution:

Resolved, That the Convention proceed to a ballot for three Clerical Deputies to the General Convention.
