CHAPTER CCCLIX.

A further supplement to the act entitled "An act against usury," approved April tenth, eighteen hundred and forty-six.

1. BE IT ENACTED by the Senate and General Assembly of Bonds and the State of New Jersey, That no bond or mortgage for the issued by payment of money heretofore made or issued, or that corporation may not invalid hereafter be made or issued, by any corporation created because by or under the laws of this state, shall be held, deemed or below par. considered invalid, or liable to any deduction from the amount that may become due thereon, because such bond or mortgage may have been made, issued, sold, assigned or otherwise disposed of by such corporation below the par value thereof; provided, such bond or mortgage shall be valid on its face; and provided also, that this act shall not apply to any suit now pending.

2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take effect immediately.

CHAPTER CCCLXVIII.

An act to revive certain acts and to legalize and ratify proceedings thereunder.

WHEREAS, the governor of this state, in accordance with the Preamble provisions of an act entitled "An act providing for declaring and making known that certain laws and joint resolutions have become inoperative and void," approved March third, eighteen hundred and seventy-three, has by his proclamation, duly issued and dated the first day of

December, anno domini eighteen hundred and seventythree, made known that the acts hereinafter enumerated, have become and are inoperative and void, because the parties therein interested have failed to pay the assessment required by law; and whereas, such failure to pay said assessment has arisen in many cases from mistake or inadvertance, now therefore

1. BE IT ENACTED by the Senate and General Assembly of the State of New Jersey, That the following acts, to wit:

An act to renew the charter of the Farmers' and Mechanics' Bank of Rahway, and to increase the capital stock thereof; approved February second, eighteen hundred and sixty.

An act to incorporate the Morristown, Hanover and Pequannock Canal Company; approved February twenty-first, eighteen hundred and sixty.

A further supplement to the act entitled "An act to incorporate the Sussex Mine Railroad Company," approved March ninth, eighteen hundred and forty-eight; approved February twenty-first, eighteen hundred and sixty.

An act to confirm certain deeds made by Joseph L. Corey, surviving executor of the last will and testament of Joseph Line, late of the township of New Providence, in the county of Essex (now Union), deceased; approved February twenty-ninth, eighteen hundred and sixty.

A further supplement to the act entitled "An act to incorporate the Northern Railroad of New Jersey," approved February ninth, one thousand eight hundred and fifty-four; approved March seventh, eighteen hundred and sixty.
