Extending time for raking and taking oysters in Union

CHAPTER CCXXXVII.

A supplement to "An act for the preservation of Clams and Oysters," approved April fourteenth, eighteen hundred and forty-six.

1. Be it enacted by the Senate and General Assembly of the State of New Jersey, That the period limited for the raking or taking of clams and oysters in any bed or banks within this state, contained in the first section of the act to which this is a supplement, shall, so far as relates to the county of Union, be extended from the first day of May to the first day of July, in each and every year.

2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take effect immediately.

CHAPTER CCXXXVIII.

An act to define and perpetuate the line between the counties of Hudson and Bergen.

1. CHAPTER CCXXXIX.

An act to regulate the salary of the clerk of the county of
Camden.

1. BE IT ENACTED by the Senate and General Assembly of the State of New Jersey, That the clerk of the county of Camden shall receive a salary of four thousand dollars per annum, for his services as clerk of the criminal and civil courts of said county, which sum is to be paid to him in quarterly payments, by the collector of said county, and is to be in lieu of all fees, costs, and compensation, now allowed him in said courts, and all fees, costs and compensation that said clerk is now entitled by law to receive, shall be taxed in all bills of costs the same as are now taxed, and shall be collected by the sheriff of said county of Camden, and be by him paid over to the collector of the said county, for the use of the said county.

CHAPTER CCXL.

A further supplement to "An act for the preservation of deer and other game, and to prevent trespassing with dogs or guns," approved April sixteenth, eighteen hundred and forty-six.

And be it enacted, That if any person or persons offend- Penalty. ing against any of the provisions of the first section of this act, he, she or they so offending, shall forfeit and pay for every doe, buck, fawn, or any sort of deer, the sum of fifty dollars for each and every offence, to be sued for and recovered in an action of debt, with costs of suit, by any person who shall sue for the same; and any person, into whose hands or custody, any buck, doe, fawn or other kind of deer, shall be found, that shall have been killed contrary to the provisions of this act, shall be deemed, taken and adjudged to be the killer and destroyer of said game, and liable to the penalties of the same.

3. And be it enacted, That this act shall take effect immediately.

CHAPTER CCXLI.

An act to facilitate the collection of taxes in the township of Weymouth, in the county of Atlantic.

1. Be it enacted by the Senate and General Assembly of the State of New Jersey, That the township committee of the Committee township of Weymouth, in the county of Atlantic, shall have empowerpower to enforce the collection of all delinquent taxes as- fore colsessed on any real estate in said township during the year delinquent of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and seventy-three, and thereafter, by exposing the same for sale, or so much thereof as may be sufficient to pay said taxes and the cost thereon, at public vendue, to the person or persons who will take the least quantity of said land, to be laid out in one body, and to commence at some designated corner of the premises, on which said delinquent taxes are claimed to be due; and in cases where the said committee may deem it for the interest of the township, they may authorize the treasurer of the township to appear at such sale, and bid

And be it enacted, That on the day mentioned in said. notice, or on some adjourned day thereof, the chairman of the said committee shall at the hour named in said notice, proceed to sell the several tracts or parcels of land returned and unpaid, and in order so returned at public vendue as aforesaid, to the person or persons who will take the least quantity of said premises so offered, and pay the amount
