MAKING CHANGE (First Half)

Third Column. In making change one should always try to select the least possible number of bills and coins. If you were handing a person five cents in change, what is the least number of pieces required? (hands) The answer is one. For six cents what is the least number of pieces required? (hands) The answer is two. For twelve cents? (hands) The least number of pieces in this case is three. For eighteen cents what is the least number of pieces required? (hands) The least number is five. For five dollars and fifty cents? The least number of pieces is two. In this way I shall name different amounts of money and you are to indicate after each of the numbers in this column the least number of

pieces necessary.. Do not write words or other characters. Write only a figure for each answer.

Fourth column. Turn your paper over. If I were to ask you to write a word that can be spelled with the letters "pac" what

In this way I shall name several groups of letters. If these letters are placed in their right order they will spell the name of some object you know. Remember, these are all objects.
