LESSON 1-I.

Words of two letters, or less.

He is up.

So am I

Go in. Go on. Go up. Is my pa up? He is at it; or, is to be at it. up to be at it. I am to go on in it. Go up to it, my ma. We do it so, as it is. My pa, is Jo to be up to me, or on to me? He is to go by me to be up to

Er;

or to be at El. Jo is to go up to El; or to be at Ed. He is to go on an ox to Lu. Do be so as I am. Er is as I am. O, he is on an ox, to go on or up. Lo! my El is up to us. So I do, as he is to do. If it is so, go on. The ox is to go as we go. He is up to us.

LESSON 3--III.

Words of three letters, or less.

We are now in the way to the lot of dry hay. Let us, and all, go out now, to see the pig and the cow. Put up the cow in the pen, and lay her hay in her bin. Sam is a boy of sly wit, and he may now eat a bit. Jo is not so bad a boy; give him a ball, fig, and toy. Let a nut be for him too; and a top to go to Lu. and we are to go and stay at the hut all day. Jim go too, and hoe for us to-day? Let us go out now, and run up on the old way. Let us do as God may say

Our pa

Pa, may

to us. May he be for us now; and we be for him. His law is not to be put off by us. It is not for me to be a bad boy; for in God is all my joy. He can do all for us. O let me not be a bad boy, nor do any sin.

LESSON 4-IV.

Words of three letters, or less.

Bil is to go and get for us a cat and a dog. The cat may lie all day on the mat, and then go out for a rat. She got a big fat rat, and ate it all up. The old cow has a big bag. She can and may eat up her hay. She is to you a pet, and you can let her fat. The dog bit and got a sly fox, and is off for the cow and ox. The old red hen is to lay an egg a day on the hay, or be a bad hen. Job is not in so bad a box as you say he is. He may get out; and let him try. See him try. Ay, he has got out, and now see his joy. My own son Lo, see how you go. Run far off to the mud-pit, and dig mud now it is dry, and put it in the pigsty. Let no one sue you or me at the law. It is not fit for us to be in the law. The law of God is for us. I can do this for God. If he bid me, I am to do it. If I do any ill, he can see it. Let him try me, and see if I am for him. If God do see me, I may not be a bad boy, nor do any ill; O no, for it is so. No man can say to God, I do no ill. Let us not sin, or be bad any way. The law of God we'l not put off. Let us now go to bed.

LESSON 5-V.

Words of one syllable.

On the warm and bright days of May,
The calves and lambs do skip and play.
