RESOLUTION.

The People of the City of San Francisco do ordain as follows:

Resolved, That the city attorney be athorised to employ associate counsel in cases where, in his opinion, the interests of the city may require it.

The comptroller of the city is hereby authorised to issue city scrip, to the amount of one hundred thousand dollars, bearing interest at the rate of three per cent per month; this being in addition to the amount authorised in a former ordinance.

That there be, and are hereby established the offices of city guager, weigher, and sealer of weights and measures; and that said officers shall be chosen by joint ballot.

TO PLANK SACRAMENTO STREET ON EAST SIDE OF SANSOME STREET.

The People of the City of San Francisco do ordain as follows:

SECT. 1. That Sacramento street be piled and planked from the present bulk-head to the East side of Sansome street.

SECT. 2. That the several provisions and directions authorised in a "city ordinance in relation to grading and planking streets," passed July 15, 1850, be herein included and adopted.

TO ENCLOSE THE PUBLIC PLAZA.

The People of the City of San Francisco do ordain as follows:

That the street commissioner be, and is hereby authorised to construct a suitable fence around the public plaza, leaving a forty feet wide street on the west side, running from Clay to Washington streets; the cost not to exceed two thousand dollars; and that any monies not otherwise appropriated be applied to this purpose.
