The Committee on Finance respectfully reports financial ability to employ the persons named in the foregoing report.

The report was approved and the resolution adopted by a unanimous vote.

Mr. EILERT presented the following:

To the Board of Education:

The Committe on Special Schools respectfully reports that it has had under consideration a communication from the Board of Superintendents, under date of July 14, 1915, submitting nominations for positions in the vacation playgrounds for the season of 1915, or such portion thereof as may be deemed necessary, recommending that the appointments take effect upon assignment to duty by the City Superintendent of Schools and continue for such time as the services may be required, and stating that the names were taken from the appropriate eligible lists, in accordance with the By-Laws of the Board of Education, and that the nominations were made at a meeting held on July 14, 1915, at which a majority of the whole number in office were present, to fill vacancies caused by declinations and resignations.

Your Committee recommends that the nominations be approved, and submits for adoption the following

RESOLUTION:

Resolved, That the following-named persons be, and they hereby are, appointed to the positions for which they have been respectively nominated in the vacation playgrounds for the season of 1915, or such portion thereof as may be deemed necessary, their apointments to take effect upon assignment to duty by the City Superintendent of Schools and their services to continue for such time as the same may be required:

The Committee on Special Schools respectfully reports that it has had under consideration a communication from the Board of Superintendents, under date of July 14, 1915, submitting nominations for positions in the evening elementary schools for the season of 1915-1916, or such part thereof as may be deemed necessary, subject to the By-Laws of the Board of Education and to transfer by the City Superintendent of Schools, the appointments to take effect October 4, 1915, excepting those of principals and teachers in charge, which shall take effect September 27, 1915, and stating that the names were taken in order from the appropriate eligible lists, in accordance with the By-Laws of the Board of Education, that in the nominations of principals one name was passed over, and that the

nominations were made at a meeting held on July 14, 1915, at which a majority of the whole number in office were present.

Your Committee recommends that the nominations be approved, and submits for adoption the following

RESOLUTION:

Resolved, That the following-named persons be, and they hereby are, appointed to the positions for which they have been respectively nominated in the evening elementary schools, as teachers of the subjects specified, for the season of 1915-1916, or such part thereof as may be deemed necessary, subject to the By-Laws of the Board of Education and to transfer by the City Superintendent of Schools, the appointments to take effect October 4, 1915, excepting those of principals and teachers in charge, which shall take effect September 27, 1915, provided that failure to report for duty on the night upon which service is to begin shall be considered a declination of the position, except that a teacher may report for service within one week after said night, provided such teacher notifies the principal, prior to the date set for beginning service, of his or her intention to so report; those marked with an asterisk (*) to be appointed for half time:
