Metropolitan Life Insurance Company

A MUTUAL COMPANY

It has become the largest life insurance company in the world, in amount of insurance,-nearly four billions.

Its assets exceed seven hundred million dollars. After setting aside the reserve to meet all liabilities ($672,498,056.81) its surplus to policy-holders amounts to more than thirty-one and a half million dollars.

It declared dividends last year, payable in 1918, to the amount of eleven million, one hundred and thirteen thousand, eight hundred and seventyseven dollars.

Its outstanding policies number 18,262,933-a proof
that it has the confidence of the public.
The company has limited payment life and endow-
ment policies, admirably suited to those who
have a fixed income and would provide a sure
guarantee for themselves and their families in
later years.

It sells annuities with immediate or deferred payments.
It has a whole life policy which gives a maximum of
protection at a very low rate of premium.
Its contracts appeal to sound business judgment.
