SPECIMENS OF PAPERS SET AT THE FOLLOWING OPEN COMPETITIVE EXAMINATIONS HELD IN THE YEAR 1877. STUDENT DRAGOMANS. August 1877. I.-PAPERS SET AT AN OPEN COMPETITIVE EXAMINA- For Subjects of Examination, &c., see pages 74 and 566. *In these subjects there will be a vivâ voce examination, the time and place of which will, if possible, be notified to the candidates before they conclude their written examination. ** The successful candidates will be required to satisfy the Commissioners as to their proficiency in reading aloud. (I.) COPYING. (OBLIGATORY.) Copy, on the form supplied, as much of the following, including the tables of figures, as you can in half an hour, taking care to write as well as you can. The figures on the accompanying table represent in roubles the amount of silver imported to and exported from Russia during the five years ending 1875. The quantity imported, it will be observed, is considerably in excess of that exported. The minimum production was in the year 1874, and amounted only to 708 pouds (644,280 roubles, or 80,5357.) |
