the witnefs in himself.

After a copious introduction, in which the connection is traced, the
words analized and explained, and a doctrinal propofition laid down,
the following general heads of method are profecuted, viz.

The words being viewed in their connection and scope, and a doctrine
raifed from them, the following heads of method are propofed, viz.

After a copious introduction, containing a large account of Zaccheus, with a divifion and ample explication of the words, and a doctrinal propofition raised, the following general heads are difcourfed, viz. 1. To speak of fome of these heights from which people must come down, that would anfwer the gospel-call,

The words being explained, two doctrinal propofitions are obferved; The Firft is, That, in wrathful times, wherein God's church and people are under many tokens of his anger and displeasure, it is "most seasonable for them to plead with him, That he would remem"ber mercy." From this propofition, the following general heads of method are illuftrated.
