HOLMBERG, Sir I have the honor to transmit herewith a detailed statement of the business transacted by the Insurance Department for the fiscal year ending November 30, 1902, also the reports of the various insurance companies transacting business in this State, showing their financial condition up to and including December 31, 1902. The receipts of the Department show a steady and substantial increase over those of the previous year, and I am confident that this increase will be continued during the year 1903. I shall endeavor to conduct the affairs of this Department so as to make it of the greatest possible good for the protection of our insuring public, and likewise of information and statistics for the insurance companies. The attention of the respective insurance companies and departments is called to the new laws affecting insurance companies passed by the Fourteenth General Assembly of the State of Colorado in 1903, which will be found in the last of this report.
