Motherbood.

"A soft white nest in a shadowy room,

A tiny form 'mid the pillows curled, A woman still in her youthful bloom,— This is the mother, and that her world.

"Two blue eyes that begin to unclose
Under the light of her tender smile,
As the sunshine opens the heart of a rose.
Does the mother envy a king the while?"
