God's Favour.

138. God's Favour. 2 Sam. xv. 25. David said if I have found Favour in the Eyes of the Lord, he will bring me again, and shew me both the Ark and his Habitation.

Job x. 12. Thou haft granted me Life and Favour, and thy Vifitation hath preserved my Spirit.

xxxiii. 26. The Penitent fhall pray unto God and he will be favourable unto him, and he shall fee his Face with Joy, for he will render unto every Man his Righteousness.

Pf. v. 12. Thou, Lord, wilt blefs the Righteous, with Favour wilt compass him about, as with a Shield.

Luke ii. 52. Jefus increased in Wisdom and Stature, and in Favour with God and Man.

Acts vii. 46. David found Favour before God. See 1 Sam. 2. 22. 139. God's Favour denied to the Wicked. Ifa. xxvii. 11. It is a People of no Understanding, therefore he that made them will not have Mercy on them, and he that formed them will fhew them no Favour. See Jer. 16. 13.

God's Bleffing.

144. God bleffeth his People. Exod. xx. 24. In all Places where I record my Name, I will come unto thee and I will blefs thee.

Numb. vi. 27. They fhall put my Name upon the Children of Ifrael, and I will blefs them.

xxii. 12. God faid to Balaam, thou shalt not curfe the People, for they are blessed. Ch. 23. 20.

Deut. xxii. 5. The Lord turned the curfe of Balaam into a Blessing, because he loved thee. Néh. 13. 2.

146. God's Bleffing promifed by Way of Covenant, or Covenant Blefings. Deut. vii. 9. He keepeth Covenant and Mercy with them that love him and keep his Commandments, to a thousand Generations. Dan. 9. 4

2 Sam. xxiii. 5. David faid, altho' my House be not fo with God, yet hath he made with me an everlafting Covenant, ordered in all Things and fure.

Pf. xxv. 14. The Secret of the Lord is with them that fear him, and he will fhew them his Covenant.

lxxxix. 3. I have made a Covenant with my Chofen.

Ver. 28. My Covenant shall stand faft with him.

Ver. 34. My Covenant will I not break.

Ifa. xlii. 6. 1 will give thee (Chrift) for a Covenant of the People, for a Light of the Gentiles. Ch. 49. 8.-55. 4.

Jer. xxxi. 33. This fhall be the Covenant that I will make with the Houfe of Ifrael, faith the Lord, I will put my Law in their inward Parts and write it in their Hearts, and will be their God, and they fhall be my People. Heb. 8. 10.

xxxii. 40. I will make an everlasting Covenant with them, that I will not turn away from them to do them Good, but I will put my Fear in their Hearts, that they fhall not depart from me. Ver. 38.

xxxiii. 20. Thus faith the Lord, if you can break my Covenant of the Day, and my Covenant of the Night, and that there should not be Day and Night in their Season.

Ver. 21. Then inay alfo my Covenant be broken with David my Servant, that he should not have a Son to reign upon his Throne, and with the Levites the Priefts my Minifters. Ver. 25, 26,

1. 5. They fhall fay, come, and let us join ourselves to the Lord, in a perpetual Covenant that shall not be forgotten.

Ezek. xi. 19. I will give them one Heart, and I will put a new Spirit within you, and I will take the ftony Heart out of your Flesh, and will give them an Heart of Flesh. Jer. 24. 7.

Ver. 20. That they may walk in my Statutes and keep mine Ordinances and do them, and they shall be my People, and I will be their God.

xvi. 8. When I paffed by thee and looked upon thee, behold thy Time was a Time of Love, and I fpread my Skirt over thee and covered thy Nakedness, yea, I fware unto thee and entered into a Covenant with thee, faith the Lord God, and thou becameft mine.

Ver. 60. I will remember my Covenant with thee in the Days of thy Youth, and I will establish unto thee, an everlasting Covenant. Ver. 62. I will establish my Covenant with thee, and thou shalt know that I am the Lord.
