2 Theff. 1. 3. We are bound to thank God always for you Brethren, because your Faith groweth exceedingly.

Ver. 11. We pray always for you

that our God would count you worthy of this Calling and fulfil all the good Pleasure of his Goodness, and the Work of Faith with Power.

17. Chrift the Author of Faith. Luke xvii. 5. The Apoftles faid, Lord encrease our Faith.

1 Tim. i. 14. The Grace of our Lord Jefus Chrift, was exceeding abundant with Faith and Love, which is in Christ Jesus.

Heb. xii. 1. Let us run with Patience, the Race set before us, looking to Jefus the Author and Finisher of our Faith.

1 Pet. i. 21. Ye by him do believe in God, who raised him from the Dead.

2 Pet. i. 1. To them that have obtained like precious Faith with us, through the Righteoufnefs of God, and our Saviour Jefus Chrift. See Eph. 6. 23. 2 Theff. 1. 12.

The Holy Ghoft the Author of Faith. 1.Cor. xii. 8. To me is given by the Spirit, the Word of Wifdom, to another the Word of Knowledge. Ver. 9. To another Faith, by the fame Spirit.

2 Cor. iv. 13. We having the fame Spirit of Faith, we also believe. Gal. v. 22. The Fruit of the Spirit is Love, Joy, Peace, Longfuffering, Gentlenefs, Goodness, Faith, Meeknefs, Temperance.

18. Subordinate Means of Faith, are God's Word. John xx. 31. These are written, that ye might believe that Jefus is the Chrift the Son of God, Rom. 1. 16. 1 John 5. 3. Rev. 1. 19.

19. A Gospel Miniftry the Means of Faith. John i. 7. John came for a Witnefs that all Men might believe, Acts 19. 4.

xvii. 20. Jefus faid, I pray not for thofe alone which thou gavest me out of the World, but for them alfo which fhall believe on me through their Word.

xix. 35. He that faw bare Record, that ye might believe.

Acts ii. 41. At hearing Peter's Sermon, were added to the Church about three thousand Souls.

The Gospel called Faith, and the Law of Faith.

John v. 24. Jefus faid, he that heareth my Words and believeth on him that fent me, hath everlasting Life, and shall not come into Condemnation, but is paffed from Death unto Life. See Luke 1. 45.

21. Juflification to believing in Chrift promised. A&ts xiii. 39. By him all that believe are juftified from all Things, from which they could not be justified by the Law of Mofes.

Rom iii. 21. The Righteoufnefs of God (i. e. Juftification) without the Law is manifested, being witneffed by the Law and the Prophets.

Ver. 22. Even the Righteousness of God, which is by Faith of Jefus Chrift, unto all and upon all that believe.

Ver. 25. Jefus Chrift hath God fet forth, to be a Propitiation through Faith in his Blood, to declare his Righteousness for the Remiffion of Sins.

Ver. 26. To declare his Righteousness, that he might be just, and the Juftifier of them that believe in Jefus.

Ver. 28. Therefore we conclude that a Man is justified by Faith without the Deeds of the Law.

Ver. 30. God fhall justify the Circumcifion by Faith, and the Uncircumcifion through Faith.

Rom. iv. 5. He that worketh not, but believeth on him that juftifieth the Ungodly, his Faith is counted to him for Righteousness, or Juftification.

v. 1. Being juftified by Faith we have Peace with God through our Lord Jefus Chrift.

x. 4. Chrift is the End of the Law for Righteousness (or Juftification) to every one that believeth.

xi. 20. Thou ftandeft by Faith, 2 Cor. 1. 24.

Ver. 23. The Jews, if they abide not ftill in Unbelief, fhall be grafted in.

Gal. ii. 16. A Man is not justified by the Works of the Law, but by the Faith of Jefus Chrift.

Ver. 21. If Righteousness came by the Law, then is Christ dead in vain.

iii. 8. The Scripture foreseeing that God would justify the Heathen, through Faith preached before the Gospel to Abram, faying, in thee fhall all Nations be bleffed, Gen. 12. 3.

Ver. 22. The Scripture hath concluded all under Sin, that the Promife by Faith of Jefus Chrift might be given to them that believe.

Ver. 24. The Law was our School-mafter to bring us to Christ, that we might be juftified by Faith.

v. 5. We through the Spirit wait for the Hope of Righteousness (or Juftification) through Faith.

Ver. 6. In Jefus Chrift neither Circumcifion availeth any Thing, nor Uncircumcifion, but Faith which worketh by Love.

Phil. iii. 8. I count all Things but Lofs for the Excellency of the Knowledge of Chrift Jefus my Lord, for whom I have fuffered the Lofs of all Things, and count them but Dung that I may win Chrift.

Ver. 9. And be found in him, not having mine own Righteousness which is of the Law, but that which is through the Faith of Chrift, the Righteousness which is of God by Faith.

Ver. 10. That I might know him and the Power of his Resurrection, and the Fellowship of his Sufferings, being made conformable to his Death.

22. Adoption, or being the Sons of God, promised. John i. 12. many as received Chrift, to them gave he Power to become the Sons of God, even to them that believe on his Name.

Gal. iii. 26. Ye are all the Children of God by Faith in Jesus Christ, Rom. 8. 17.

23. God's Love promised to Believers in Chrift. John xvi. 27. The Father himself loveth you, because ye have loyed me, and have believed that I came out from God.

24. Chrift prayeth for Believers. John xvii. 20. Neither pray I for thee alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their Word,

25. The Sins of Believers pardoned. Acts x. 42. Whofoever believeth on me shall receive the Remiffion of Sins, Ch. 13. 38.-26. 18.

Rom. iii. 25. Him hath God fet forth to be a Propitiation through Faith in his Blood, to declare his Righteousness for the Remiffion of Sins.

26. The Holy Spirit is given to Believers. John vii. 38. Jefus faid, he that believeth on me, out of his Belly fhall flow Rivers of living Waters.

Ver. 39. This fpake he of the Spirit which they that believe on him fhould receive.

Gal. iii. 13. Chrift hath redeemed us from the Curfe of the Law. Ver. 14. That the Bleffing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jefus Chrift, that we might receive the Promife of the Spirit through Faith.

27. They have Light and Direction. John xii. 36. Believe in the Light. (That is in Chrift, Ch. 1. 9.-8. 12.-9. 5.)

Ver. 46. I am come a Light unto the World, that whofoever believeth in me should not abide in Darkness.

33. Salvation by Faith in God. Dan. vi. 23. No manner of Hurt was found upon Daniel, (in the Lyon's Den) because he believed in his God.

Thus faith the Lord God, behold I lay in Zion for a Foundation, a Stone, a tried Stone, a precious Corner Stone, a fure Foundation, he that believeth fhall not make hafte, Rom. 9. 33.-10. 11. He that believeth fhall not be afhamed, 1 Pet. 2. 6. He that believeth fhall not be confounded.

Mark xvi. 15. Jefus faid preach the Gospel.

Ver. 16. He that believeth and is baptifed, shall be saved, he that believeth not shall be damned.

John iii. 14. As Mofes lifted up the Serpent in the Wilderness, even fo muft the Son of Man be lifted up.

Ver. 15. That whofoever believeth in him fhould not perish, but have eternal Life.

Ver. 16. God fo loved the World, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whofoever believeth in him fhould not perish, but have everlafting Life.

Ver. 17. God fent not his Son into the World to condemn the World, but that the World through him might be faved.

Ver. 18. He that believeth is not condemned, he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the Name of the only begotten Son of God.

Ver. 36. He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting Life, and he that believeth not the Son fhall not fee Life, but the Wrath of God abideth on him.
