No. 190, relating to the exercise of the right of eminent do-

main in cases where the exercise of such power is invoked by

a railroad corporation for the purposes of constructing, ex-

tending, or operating its line____

No. 1259. An act providing for the payment of certain sums of money to

the present Sultan of Sulu and his principal advisers, and

making permanent appropriation therefor__

No. 1260. An act appropriating the sum of 65,000 pesos, Philippine cur-

rency, or so much thereof as may be necessary, from the Con-

gressional relief fund, to be loaned to the province of Albay

for the construction of wagon roads from Tabaco to Ligao,

No. 1261. An act appropriating $30,000, in money of the United States,

out of the gold-standard fund, for the payment of interest on

certificates of indebtedness issued by the government of the

Philippine Islands, under act of Congress approved March 2,

No. 1265. An act extending the time for the payment, without penalty,

of the land tax in the province of Ilocos Sur for the year 1904

until January 31, 1905, and authorizing the provincial board

of Ilocos Sur to revise the assessment lists of the municipali-

ties of Vigan, Santa Cruz, Santa Lucia, Lapo, and Cabugao,

in said province..

No. 1266. An act so amending act No. 1187, extending the time for the pay-

ment of the land tax in the province of Tarlac for the year

1904 until December 31, 1904, as to provide for the refund of

all penalties heretofore collected for the nonpayment of the

land tax in said province for said year___

No. 1267. An act appropriating 200 pesos Philippine currency for pay-

ment to First-Class Sergt. Howard R. Jackson, Hospital

Corps, U. S. Army, for services rendered in performing a

post-mortem operation in January, 1904, and for expert tes-

timony given in the court of first instance, province of Leyte,

in the case of The United States v. Victor de los Reyes, in

February, 1904

No. 1268. An act providing for the establishment of local civil government

for the non-Christian tribes in the province of Antique_____

No. 1269. An act authorizing and directing the provincial governor of the

province of Antique to perform the duties of the provincial

secretary of said province without additional compensation___

No. 1270. An act amending act No. 82, entitled "The Municipal Code," by

prescribing a method for the correction of errors in tax lists of

real property in cases of double declarations and assessments_

No. 1271. An act to amend act No. 630, entitled "An act consolidating the

offices of provincial treasurer and provincial supervisor of the

province of Misamis," by providing that the civil governor

may designate some member of the bureau of education other

than the division superintendent of schools for the province

to act on the provincial board_.

No. 1272. An act extending the time for the completion of the revision of

assessments of real estate, for the certification of changes

made in the assessments, and for the payment of the land tax,

without penalty, for the year 1904, in the province of La

Union

No. 1273. An act amending section 13 of act No. 83, as amended by para-

graph (b) of section 1 of act No. 372, and giving discretionary

authority to provincial boards to make loans out of provincial

funds not otherwise appropriated to the municipalities of their

respective provinces for the construction or repair of munici-

pal school buildings or for other municipal school purposes___

No. 1274. An act authorizing the provincial board of the province of Leyte

to revise and correct the assessment lists of the municipalities

of said province___

No. 1275. An act appropriating, out of the Congressional relief fund, the

sum of 350,000 pesos Philippine currency for the construction

of public school buildings___

No. 1276. An act so amending section 3 of act No. 1040 as to authorize

vacation leave of absence which has not been taken during the

calendar year to be enjoyed during the first two months of the

succeeding year

No. 1277. An act amending act No. 1147 so as to extend the time for the

registration and branding of large cattle until June 30, 1905__

No. 1278. An act so amending act No. 1045 that small traders who make

use of local currency after the 31st day of December, 1904,

shall be subject only to the fine imposed by subsection (d) of

section 11 thereof for the use of such currency, and shall not

be compelled to take out the license by that section required__

No. 1279. An act authorizing the payment of compensation to physicians

and surgeons summoned as expert witnesses in the municipal

court and court of first instance for the district of Manila in

certain cases, when such witnesses are not employees or offi-

cials of the civil government and are not officers of the United

States Army or Navy---

No. 1280. An act reducing the 15 municipalities of the province of Mindoro

No. 1281. An act providing for the appointment by the civil governor of a

chief of police and an assistant chief of police for the munici-

pality of Cavite, in the province of Cavite, whose salary shall

be paid out of insular funds, and making an appropriation for

such purpose_-

No. 1282. An act consolidating the offices of provincial treasurer and pro-

vincial supervisor of the province of Occidental Negros and

making the division superintendent of schools for the province

a member of the provincial board..

No. 1283. An act amending sections 4, 5, 10, 11, 12, 13, 15, 16, 17, 18, 20,

21, and 27 of act No. 787, providing for the organization and

government of the Moro Province, and repealing section 31 of

said act, and providing that the internal-revenue law of 1904

shall not be deemed to have repealed act No. 5 of the legisla-

tive council of the Moro Province, and providing that revenues

accruing to the Moro Province under the internal-revenue

law of 1904 shall accrue to the treasury of the Moro Province,

without division, and be expended in the discretion of the legis-

lative council for provincial, district, and municipal purposes

No. 1284. An act making permanent annual appropriations for the pay-

ment of interest upon certificates of indebtedness and bonds

issued by the government of the Philippine Islands___

No. 1285. An act authorizing the incorporation of the Society for the Pre-

vention of Cruelty to Animals in the Philippine Islands, de-

fining its powers, and providing for its government__

No. 1286. An act so amending act No. 82, known as the municipal code, as

to authorize provincial boards to order special municipal elec-

- tions when for any reason elections are not held as by said

act provided----

No. 1287. An act amending section 6 of act No. 1120, the friar lands act,

by requiring the chief of the bureau of public lands to record

at length all title deeds and instruments of conveyance apper-

taining to the friar lands before transmitting them to the pro-

vincial registers of deeds for registration, and making certi-

fied copies of such record made by the chief of the bureau of

public lands competent evidence in courts of justice..

No. 1288. An act authorizing and directing registers of deeds to perform

certain duties of commercial registers as defined in title 2 of

the Code of Commerce, and providing that the documenting,

registry, enrollment, and licensing of vessels in accordance

with the customs administrative act and the customs rules

and regulations shall be deemed to be a registry of vessels

within the meaning of said title___

No. 1289. An act providing for a loan of 20,000 pesos to the province of

Sorsogon

No. 1290. An act authorizing the Mitsui Bussan Kaisha to bring suit

against the government of the Philippine Islands, in the

court of first instance of the city of Manila, for the recovery

of a sum of money claimed to be due from the government of

the Philippine Islands for coal delivered to the Insular Cold

Storage and Ice Plant in April and May, 1904, and prior

thereto

No. 1291. An act so amending section 36 of act No. 136 as to make further

provision in regard to the disposition of the reports of the de-

cisions of the supreme court of the Philippine Islands__.

No. 1292. An act authorizing the provincial board of Cebu to make a loan

No. 1294. An act authorizing and directing the auditor for the Philippine

Islands to transfer on the books of his office to the general

revenue account 1,312,000 pesos remaining unexpended from

appropriations heretofore made for the construction of public

works and permanent improvements by the government of

the Philippine Islands____

No. 1295. An act providing that one fiscal shall perform the duties of fiscal

for the provinces of Cagayan and Isabela, repealing the pro-

visions of law authorizing a separate fiscal for each of said

provinces, fixing the salary for the fiscal of the two provinces,

and making provisions for traveling expenses of such fiscal__

No. 1296. An act authorizing and directing the auditor for the Philippine

Islands to transfer on the books of his office to the general

revenue account 314,960 pesos remaining unexpended from

appropriations heretofore made for the construction of public

works and permanent improvements in the city of Manila,

and appropriating the sum of 116,600 pesos, or so much

thereof as may be necessary, for certain public works and

permanent improvements in said city.

No. 1297. An act making additional appropriations for the current ex-

penses of the municipal government of the city of Manila for

the fiscal year 1905

No. 1298. An act to authorize provincial boards, until the completion of

the next general assessment, to revise and correct, with the

approval of the insular treasurer, the assessment lists of

municipalities where it is made clear that the assessment or

valuation stated upon the assessment lists is erroneous and

unjust, and to provide for the redemption of real estate

which has been forfeited to municipalities for nonpayment

of taxes under the provisions of existing law..

No. 1299. An act providing for the incorporation of the municipality of

Araceli, province of Paragua, as a barrio of the municipality

of Puerto Princesa, province of Paragua..........

No. 1300. An act authorizing the governor-general to suspend the opera-

tion of act No. 774 when deemed necessary-

No. 1301. An act providing for the issue of bonds of the government of

the Philippine Islands to the amount of $2,500,000 gold coin

of the United States of the present standard value, for the

purpose of providing funds to construct port and harbor

works, bridges, roads, buildings for provincial and municipal

schools, court-houses, penal institutions, and other public im-

provements for the development of the Philippine Islands,

pursuant to the provisions of section 2 of the act of Congress

entitled "An act to amend an act approved July 1, 1902, en-

titled 'An act temporarily to provide for the administration

of the affairs of civil government in the Philippine Islands,

and for other purposes,' and to amend an act approved March

8, 1902, entitled 'An act temporarily to provide revenue for

the Philippine Islands, and for other purposes,' and to

amend an act approved March 2, 1903, entitled 'An act to

establish a standard of value and to provide for a coinage

system in the Philippine Islands,' and to provide for the more

efficient administration of civil government in the Philippine

Islands, and for other purposes," approved February 6, 1905

No. 1302. An act prohibiting the sale, gift, or other disposal, in the

province of Cavite, to soldiers of the United States Army

and sailors and enlisted men of the United States Navy and

Marine Corps, of any of the so-called native wines or liquors

No. 1303. An act granting to Martin M. Levering a franchise to install,

operate, and maintain an electric light, heat, and power-supply

system in the municipality of Cebu, province of Cebu-----

municipality of Pitogo, to the municipality of Catanauan, both

standing liabilities of the province of Abra, and providing for

the establishment of civil governments in the settlements of

No. 1307. An act appropriating the sum of 32,000 pesos, Philippine cur-

rency, for the construction of a road across the province of

Samar, connecting the municipalities of Wright and Taft, in

said province

No. 1308. An act providing for the return of the former municipality of

Muntinlupa from the province of La Laguna to the province

of Rizal, repealing paragraph (e) of section 1 and sections

2 and 3 of Act No. 1008, and changing the name of the munici-

pality of Pateros, of the province of Rizal, to Taguig..........

No. 1309. An act further to amend section 40 of act No. 82, entitled "A

general act for the organization of municipal governments in

the Philippine Islands

No. 1310. An act to encourage and aid the Philippine coastwise trade, to

secure the carriage of mails, government freight, and pas-

sengers by commercial vessels under contract, to effect uni-

form reasonable rates for the government and public, to in-

crease the safety standards and service of contracting vessels,

and for other purposes_

No. 1311. An act so amending section 7 of act No. 867 as to provide that

the court of first instance in and for the province of Taya-

bas shall be held at Lucena, the capital of the province,

instead of at the municipality of Tayabas, and authorizing

the provincial board of that province to sell the present pro-

vincial building located in the municipality of Tayabas to

the last-named municipality for school purposes--.

No. 1312. An act so amending section 13 of the land-registration act, as

amended by section 3 of act No. 1108, as to increase the salary

of the associate judge of the court of land registration from

$4,000 to $4,500 per annum__

No. 1313. An act abolishing the offices of assistant attorney-general for

the bureau of Philippines constabulary, assistant solicitor-

general, supervisor of provincial fiscals, and deputy super-

visor of provincial fiscals, and substituting in lieu thereof

provision for assistant attorneys in the office of the attorney-

general

No. 1314. An act so amending section 9 of act No. 136 as to increase the

salaries of the judges of the supreme court of the Philippine

Islands to $10,000 per annum.

No. 1315. An act appropriating the sum of $3,000,000, in gold coin of the

United States, from the gold-standard fund for the purpose of

paying the principal of the third series of certificates of

indebtedness issued pursuant to the provisions of act No.

1050.

No. 1316. An act so amending act No. 1153 as to authorize the secretary of

finance and justice to direct a judge of the court of first in-

stance to hold a special term of the court of first instance in

any province at another place in the province than that fixed

by law for holding the regular term therein___

No. 1317. An act to amend act No. 780, entitled "An act providing for

the examination and licensing of applicants for the positions

of master, mate, patron, and engineer of seagoing vessels in

the Philippine coastwise trade, and prescribing the number

of engineers to be employed by such vessels".
