IN SUB-COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE,
March, 8, 1877.

Mr. Graham, from the Sub-Committee of the Whole, to which was referred the Assembly bill No. 118, introductory No. 202, G.;O. 88, entitled an act to amend chapter 820 of the Laws of 1873, entitled "An act to amend an act entitled 'An act to suppress intemperance and to regulate the sale of intoxicating liquors,' passed April 16, 1857," reported in favor of the passage of the same with the following amendments:

Section 1, line 7, before the word "town" insert "city or ; " at the end of section 1 add "except as otherwise provided by law."

Section 2, line 10, before the word "county "insert" city or," and at the end of section add "except as otherwise provided by law." Add the following section:

"§ 3. This act shall take effect immediately."
