SEC. 2. SEC. 2. ville, Tallahassee and Gulf Railroad."

That the provisions of this act shall vest no rights in the said Thomasville, Tallahassee and Gulf Railroad Company to the lands hereby granted, unless the construction of said road shall be commenced within three months from the first day of June, 1887, and at least five miles of said road be completed within six months thereafter, and no benefits shall be derived on account of any part of the road constructed after one year from the time hereby fixed for the completion of said five miles.

AN ACT to Amend and Extend Chapter 3341, of the Laws of Florida, being "An Act to Incorporate the Monticello and Georgia Railroad Company."

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

SECTION 1. That section 13, of Chapter 3341, of the Laws of Florida, be amended so as to read as follows: That the said shall commence the building of said road on or before company the first day of June, A. D. 1891, and continue the same with reasonable diligence until it is completed.

SEC. 2. That all the rights, privileges and franchises granted to the commissioners and incorporators and to the said Monticello and Georgia Railroad Company, mentioned in said Chapter 3341, of the Laws of Florida, under and by virtue of said act to incorporate the Monticello and Georgia Railroad Company, are hereby revived, renewed, re-granted and extended, and are declared to be in full force, as if the organization of said company had been commenced, perfected and completed within and by the time mentioned and specified in said original act, and the organization of said company, when perfected under section 1 of this act, shall be valid and effective, and have the same legal force and effect as if made under said original act.

Company to Construct, Maintain and Operate a Railroad from Talla
hassee, and also a Railroad from Monticello to the Georgia and Florida
State Line, and for other Purposes.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

SECTION 1. That the Savannah, Florida and Western Railway Company, a corporation created and existing under the laws of the States of Georgia and Florida, be and the same is hereby authorized and empowered to construct, maintain and operate a railroad from the city of Tallahassee, in the county

of Leon, through the counties of Leon and Jefferson, to the Georgia and Florida State line; and also a railroad from the city of Monticello, in the county of Jefferson, through the counties of Jefferson and Leon, to the Georgia and Florida State line; the said railroads from Tallahassee and Monticello to be connected at the said Georgia and Florida State line with a railroad to be constructed to the said line by the said Savannah, Florida and Western Railway Company from the city of Thomasville, in the State of Georgia.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida :

SECTION 1. That section 9 of an act entitled "An act to incorporate the Florida Midland Railway Company," approved February 10th, 1885, to be amended to read as follows:

Upon the filing with the said Board of Trustees by said company of the survey of the route which may be selected withdrawal of by said company, or any twenty miles or fraction of twenty by Trustees L. miles at either terminus thereof, the Trustees shall withdraw I.
