with them, and as sufferers with them, we bear them in our hearts and pray for their relief.

We remember our enemies, if there be any who have injured us, or cherish hatred against us. We beseech thee to turn their hearts, that we may live peaceably with all men. May we freely forgive all who have wronged us; and, if there be any whom we have wronged, may we make amends and seek forgiveness.

We remember the whole family of man, beseeching thee that the spirits of all flesh may taste of thy grace, and that the ends of the earth may see the salvation of our God. Amen.

To be said by the Minister and People alternately.

GRANT us, O God, according to the riches of thy glory, to be strengthened with might by thy spirit; that Christ may dwell in our hearts by faith; that we, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height, and to know the love of Christ which passeth knowledge, that we may be filled with all the fulness of God.

Now unto Him that is able to do exceeding abundantly, above all that we ask or think, be glory in the Church throughout all ages.

Help us to walk worthy of the vocation

wherewith we are called, with all lowliness and meekness, with long-suffering, forbearing one another in love, endeavoring to keep the unity of the spirit in the bond of peace.

Let this mind be in us, which was also in Christ Jesus.

May nothing separate us from the love of Christ: neither tribulation, nor distress, nor persecution, nor famine, nor nakedness, nor peril, nor sword. In all these things may we be more than conquerors through him that loved us.

Thanks be to God, who giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

Help us to draw near with a true heart, in full assurance of faith, that we may enter into the holiest by this new and living way, looking unto him who is the author and finisher of our faith.

Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need. Amen.

Then shall the Minister say,

THE Lord Jesus, the same night that he

was betrayed, took bread; and, when he had given thanks, he brake it, and said: This is my body which is broken for you. This do in remembrance of me.

WE give thanks to thee, our Father, for

the life and knowledge which thou hast made known to us through Jesus, thy servant:

to thee be the glory for ever. As this broken bread was scattered abroad over the mountains, and being gathered together became one, so let thy Church be gathered together from the ends of the earth into thy kingdom. For thine is the glory and the power for ever. Amen.

Then, as he delivers the Bread to the People, the Minister shall say,

Take and eat this in remembrance of Christ.

Then the Minister shall say,

AFTER the same manner also he took the cup, when he had supped, saying: This cup is the new testament in my blood. This do ye, as oft as ye drink it, in remembrance of me.

WE give thanks to thee, our Father, for

thy holy name which thou hast caused to dwell in our hearts, and for the knowledge and faith and immortality which thou hast made known to us through Jesus, thy servant: to thee be the glory for ever. Thou, Almighty Father, hast created all things; both food and drink hast thou given unto men to enjoy, that they might give thanks to thee; but to us hast thou granted spiritual food and drink, and life eternal through thy servant. Before all things we give thanks to thee

that thou art mighty: to thee be the glory for ever. Remember, Lord, thy Church, to deliver it from every evil, and to make it perfect in thy love; and gather it together from the four winds, the holy church universal, into thy kingdom which thou hast prepared for it. For thine is the power and the glory for ever. Amen.

Then, as he delivers the cup to the People, the Minister shall say,

Drink this in remembrance of Christ.

When all have received the Communion, a Hymn may be sung, after which the Lord's Prayer shall be said by Minister and People together.

OUR Father who art in heaven, hallowed

be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever and ever. Amen.

THE peace of God, which passeth all understanding, keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus; and the blessing of God Almighty be among you, and remain with you always. Amen.

THE BAPTISM OF INFANTS.

Minister.

HEAR the words of our Saviour Christ to

his apostles:

Go ye, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost.

Hear what is said of him in another place: They brought young children to him, that he should touch them; and his disciples rebuked those that brought them. But when Jesus saw it, he was much displeased, and said unto them, Suffer the little children to come unto me, and forbid them not; for of such is the kingdom of God. Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child, he shall not enter therein. And he took them up in his arms, put his hands upon them, and blessed them.

DEARLY beloved, ye have brought this child here to be baptized; I demand therefore,

Will ye instil into his young mind the knowledge, reverence and love of God, as the heavenly Father of us all?

Answer. I will.

Will ye teach him to live for others and not for himself alone; to do good to all; to
