Mrs. Eliza Blaker, of Indianapolis, writes that she possesses the complete file of the Kindergarten Magazine from the beginning, and would not part with it for anything. She is also planning that the city library should have such a complete file. Notice the single numbers that are being called in for library purposes.

The Library of Congress, Washington, D. C., desires to complete its file of the Kindergarten Magazine, and is asking for the free contribution of the following numbers: Vol. I, No. II, Feb. 1889; Vol. II, Nos. 1, 2, 3, 4, 8, 9, 10. The Librarian urges the cooperation of anyone holding these single numbers now out of print.

MUSIC-EDUCATION AN OUTLINE. By Calvin B. Cady. Price, $1.50. In this work Mr. Cady has put his ideas of Music-Education, and a process by which to acquire it, into clear and tangible form. His method of teaching deals with the Concept and the Understanding, and results in the actual knowledge of the matter in hand before an attempt at performance is considered. Mr. Cady is widely recognized as a successful teacher and a sound educator. This work is therefore a valuable one in the line of pedagogy.

SONGS AND SCISSORS. A new collection of songs by Jessie L. Gaynor. Price, $1.25. This book is profusely and beautifully illustrated from free-hand paper cutting by Ethel E. Barr. The poems are by Lora L. Holmes, all suggested from nature and are very child-like without being childish. A most unique, artistic and meritorious collection.

IT IS unlike any other of this class containing songs that children can and will sing. In that particular it is as yet unrivaled by any and all imitations, and ever stands as the PET of all kindergartens and home circles.
