THE FIRST DAY.

In accordance with the programme arranged by the committee, a procession was formed in front of City Hall at 9.30 o'clock A. M., and consisted of seven divisions, representing nearly five hundred distinguished citizens of the State, many of whom had been prominently identified with the growth and development of the city for more than a half century.

The several divisions marched to the First Baptist Meeting-House on North Main street in the following order:
